Gronlid is a hamlet in Saskatchewan that began as a village in 1925. It took its name from H.O. Gronlid, a pastor who established a Lutheran congregation in the area.
The Canadian Pacific Railway reached the village in 1927, as part of a rail line north of Melfort. That line has since been abandoned.
